I am the Director of Metal in Southend. We are an arts organisation who believe that art and creativity inspire the positive social change we need in the world.

We champion the right for artists, creatives and other curious people to follow hunches, explore dreams and probe problems through creativity to inspire positive social change where they live. We do this by nurturing artists and creatives; championing everyone’s right to have creative agency where they live; convening cross-disciplinary networks that encourage collective creative action; and producing large-scale, memorable art events that show our public spaces and landscape in a different light.
