“I grew up in Southend and was a mad music fan as a teenager. That led me into music videos and my work as a video director took me around the world. Twelve years ago, I moved back to Essex looking to reconnect with my roots. What I found was a thriving art and music scene that gave me a new lease of life. I now make films and with local musicians, writers, actors, and technicians that are as good as anything I’ve done before. Culture is made by groups of people and there’s a heck of a lot of talented people in Essex.”
